If you need a regular prescription then, as doctors, we may not ask to see you every time. In such instances, you will be given a computer repeat request form (the white tear-off slip on the right-hand side of your usual prescription) to enable you to collect a month's or two months' medication at a time.
When you need more medicines there are several means by which you can make your request known to us:
If you merely wish to drop-off a request, then this can be posted into our letterbox.
We will turnover the request within 48 hours from the day of receipt. If you would like the prescription returned to you please include a SAE.

We appreciate from time to time everyone forgets to request prescriptions just before they run out. We would rather you let us know about the situation rather then not take any at all. We will always do our upmost to accommodate your request.
You can arrange for one of the local pharmacies to pick up your prescription from the surgery. This enables you to collect your medicines direct from them, rather than us. Forms for this purpose are available at the Totnes pharmacies. Please allow 48 hours for collection and making up prescriptions.
ELECTRONIC TRANSER - PREFERRED OPTION
Your prescription can be sent electronically direct to the pharmacy of your choice, unfortunately this does not mean that it will be available immediately, but saves you a trip to the pharmacy to drop the prescription off.
If you need more than 13 prescribed medicines in a year, you will save money with this.
A single prescription is £9.00, a 3 month prepayment is £29.10 and a 12 month prepayment is £104.

EMERGENCY: Dial 999 or go to your nearest A&E Department (you must not dial 999 for anything other than an emergency)
